XPeng Motors officially introduced its new electric car series. The product, have a name the XPeng P7 EV, they release globally on August 6, 2025. It is set to be a serious challenger in the mid-to-high-end electric sedan segment, boasting technology claimed to be unavailable in its class.

Super Premium Design
The P7 features a sleek exterior design that combines sportiness and elegance. It is said to have been designed by French designer Rafik Ferrag. It maintains an aerodynamic fastback silhouette, complete with an automatic retractable rear wing for increased stability during high-speed driving.
In terms of size, the P7 is quite large. Measuring 5,017 mm in length, 1,970 mm in width, 1,427 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 3,008 mm, these dimensions not only enhance its imposing appearance but also contribute to the spaciousness of the cabin.
Super Luxurious Interior
The interior of the XPeng P7 EV resembles a technological paradise, combining luxury and high interactivity. The three-spoke steering wheel is equipped with a multifunction rotary knob and a high-resolution digital dashboard.
One of the most striking features is the three-axis rotating infotainment screen. This screen can move dynamically and respond to hand gestures and voice commands, including nodding as a visual response.
XPeng also equipped the P7 with an 87-inch Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD), making it the largest in its segment. Furthermore, it features the world’s first Touch Pad Control, which allows intuitive and futuristic control of cabin features.
The front seats are designed with an active sport model. Adaptive side bolsters are available, capable of responding to changes in body position in just 10 milliseconds and adjusting up to 30 mm. Other comfort features include heating, ventilation, massage, and automatic trunk access via the TouchPad.
The rear trunk space is also impressive. According to EV.com’s review, it can accommodate up to 631 liters. This can be expanded to 1,929 liters by folding the second-row seats. This is spacious enough for resting or even sleeping comfortably, including for users up to 185–190 cm tall.
Performance
In terms of performance, the P7 is available in two drivetrain options: rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD). The rear-wheel drive version uses a single 270 kW motor. The all-wheel drive version features dual 167 kW motors at the front and 270 kW at the rear, for a total output of 437 kW.
Two battery capacity options are also available: 74.9 kWh and 92.2 kWh. Their claimed range based on CLTC standards is as follows:
- 702 km for the standard RWD version
- 820 km for the long-range RWD version
- 750 km for the AWD version
All XPeng P7 variants support the silicon carbide (SiC)-based 800V electrical architecture and 5C fast charging technology. This enables ultra-fast charging, similar to the XPeng G7, increasing the driving range by up to 436 km in just 10 minutes.
For battery components, XPeng partners with two major suppliers, including EVE Energy and CALB (China Aviation Lithium Battery). However, battery availability may vary depending on the variant and destination market.
